Divvy HQ Hosts Startup Launch Party at First Friday’s Entrepreneur Corner

For this month’s Entrepreneur Corner, Think Big Partners hosted the launch party for spreadsheet innovation group Divvy HQ on the swanky bizperc rooftop garden.

Complimentary cold beverages are not unfamiliar to the Think Big Partners’ Entrepreneur Corner events, but this First Friday, the crew was serving up Divvy-tini’s (made by Divvy HQ with blackberries, wine and other secret ingredients!) and classic KC barbeque. Plus, if you dropped by, you scored some sweet Divvy swag – a “plan, Divvy, conquer” t-shirt made of oh-so-soft material.

Celebrate First Fridays with Divvy HQ at Entrepreneur Corner

You guessed it! It’s that time again—Entrepreneur Corner is right around the corner! This Friday, August 3, is First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. And, yes, we’re having another party (just in case you missed last month’s blow out!). Not only are we providing beverages and a great view of the Kansas City skyline, we’re also spotlighting a local KC startup that’s making major waves in the publishing and content industry.  Welcome DivvyHQ!

Spotlighted Company: DivvyHQ

So who is this interesting startup that will be featured at Entrepreneur Corner?  It’s DivvyHQ—a new content marketing planning tool (without the messy spreadsheets!). It’s easy-to-use, intuitive and flexible so you can get back to your real work and not stress about scheduling and calendars. DivvyHQ has a slew of high profile clients such as 3M, AT&T, Phillips and even McDonald’s. 


Entrepreneur Corner will act as DivvyHQ's own personal "launch party" where the new KC startup will give away free t-shirts, barbecue sandwiches and delicious beverages (including the Divvy-tini!).  So come check ‘em out and see what the fuss is all about.

Although we would love if you stayed at Entrepreneur Corner until the sun sets (or 9:00pm when we close down), we understand that there are a lot of other cool events going on during First Fridays...and we don’t want you to miss out!  Be sure to check out Before I Die Kansas City and In Bloom: From Runway to Gallery at the Blue Gallery which will both take place during First Fridays.  These two events are completely unique to the August First Friday event.

What goes on at bizperc anyway?  Great question...and we don't blame you for asking.  But with over 60 tenants in our space, the better question is "what isn't going on at bizperc?"  Last week, one of our standout tenants, LightEdge, made some pretty big cloud computing announcements and has opened its data center doors to the world (via online video!).  Check out these cool announcements from LightEdge...and if you run into the team during the Showcase, be sure to give them a pat on the back.

bizperc's Last Entrepreneur Corner Until April

It's November.  We can't believe it either.

October seemed to come and go in a flash.  Is it because we have been so busy in the office?  Is it because the days have gotten shorter?  Whatever the case may be, we are in shock that it is already November 1st.  But the fact that it is already the first of November is very good news because that means that Entrepreneur Corner is right around the...well...corner!

Join the Think Big Partners team at the corner of 18th and Baltimore (the bizperc parking lot) for the final Entrepreneur Corner of the year during First Fridays.  Entrepreneur Corner will be open from 6:00pm-9:00pm and will feature standout Kansas City entrepreneurs and startup companies.  This will be the last Entrepreneur Corner event until April 2012, so be sure to make it out for raffles, entrepreneurial spirit and (of course) free beer!

October First Fridays Brings Entrepreneurs and Artists Together

First Fridays in the Crossroads District of Kansas City has always been about the artists.  And because Kansas City has a flourishing art scene (especially in the Crossroads), the first Friday of every month has been dedicated to honoring these creative minds and displaying their fantastic pieces of art.

But there are other creative minds in Kansas City that have been making a name for themselves during First Fridays; entrepreneurs.

That's why Think Big Partners is bringing together artists and entrepreneurs at the October First Fridays at Entrepreneur Corner.  Tomorrow, join the TBP team as well as 8 knockout Kansas City startup companies for free beer, games and fun at 1800 Baltimore from 6:00-9:00 PM.  Entrepreneur Corner will feature standout companies like Zaarly, Life Equals, Silo88 and many others as well as one of KC's renowned artists with his artwork. 

So if you're into networking, checking out Kansas City's latest companies, and viewing beautiful pieces of art, stop by Entrepreneur Corner during First Fridays.

Drinks, Appetizers and Networking at 1911 Main with Think Big Partners

Join Think Big Partners and bizperc for a Networking Happy Hour on Tuesday, October 4 from 4:30pm until 8:00pm.  The Networking Happy Hour is presented by Joe Athon of the Urban Entrepreneur Partnership and will take place at 1911 Main, one of Kansas City's newest and jazziest downtown restaurants. 

At the event, you will have the chance to learn about Think Big Partners and bizperc and what the two companies are doing for the Kansas City entrepreneurial community.  The event will be a cross section of the Kansas City business, arts, and educational communities for networking in an upscale environment.  The Networking Happy Hour aims to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, business people and visionaries for a night of music, fun and networking.

All Entrepreneurs Welcome! bizperc Hosts Open House

bizperc has been getting a lot of drop-in tours lately.  So, in order to accomodate all of the entrepreneurs, startups and big thinkers interested in this Crossroads coworking space, bizperc is hosting an Open House on September 22nd. 

Come take a tour of bizperc, chat with some of the collaborative tenants and help yourself to some beverages.  All drop-in tours will have the chance to see bizperc's 4th, 5th and 6th floors as well as the breath-taking rooftop garden.
