Bottoms Up! Thirsty Thursday at bizperc

Bizpercers, are you a little thirsty? Lucky for you, it’s time for the monthly bizperc Member Happy Hour! Once a month, we show our appreciation to our members by hosting a 6^th floor cocktail party. This month’s much anticipated Happy Hour is on Thursday, May 24^th from 5:00-7:00pm.

Bring a couple brews and a few snacks and get to know your fellow coworkers on a different level. Expand your capacity for collaboration and network with the very entrepreneurs who share the same office space as you.

The April Happy Hour was an absolute blast—complete with fresh-baked cookies and bowling with remote-control cars! And this month, we’re expecting even more fun.

bizperc Hosts Venture Fridays with Red Nova Labs

Venture Fridays, hosted by Red Nova Labs, is coming to bizperc! If you’re craving some good conversation with like-minded individuals and a few adult beverages then this meetup is for you. As a startup itself, Red Nova Labs knows entrepreneurs. The web marketing meta-company has been working out of Westwood, Kansas since 2009. Red Nova Labs understands the importance of bringing both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs together...which is exactly how Venture Fridays came to be. Venture Fridays is a meeting of the minds; gathering tech entrepreneurs from all over Kansas City for an afternoon of networking, collaborating and celebrating our startup world. 

This time around, the event is being held at Kansas City’s coworking space, bizperc. These days, there are enough Happy Hours to fill up an entire week--but no one seems to be complaining.  And now, bizperc is joining the cocktail movement and hosting the very first bizperc Member Happy Hour on Thursday, April 26th from 5:00-7:00pm.

We're saying TGIThursday and are mixing and mingling with some of our favorite entrepreneurs (our coworking tenants) in just a few days.  All bizperc members (drop-ins and monthly members) are welcome to share a drink, get to know one another and collaborate over convo and cocktails.  Bring a drink or a snack to share and join us on the bizperc 6th floor space (no RSVP needed!).

SMCKC Happy Hour with LiveOn at bizperc this Tuesday!

The Social Media Club of Kansas City is coming to bizperc for its April Happy Hour! And it gets better—they’re not coming empty handed!

This month’s special guest is Jonathan Whistman, Founder and CEO of LiveOn.  Jonathan founded LiveOn in November 2010. Since then, the company has been making exceptional progress and has proved to be the Midwest startup to watch as they show no signs of slowing down. What started as a company of 2 is now a team of 13, working out of downtown Kansas City. So what better place to have this special event than the 6^th floor of bizperc, with its stunning views of the Kansas City skyline?

KCCowork Brings Coworking, Collaboration (and Beer Pong!?) to Prairie Village

This week, Kansas City's newest coworking space opened in Prairie Village.  The space is known as KCCowork, and its goal is to bring together suburban entrepreneurs, innovators and startups for day-to-day collaboration and networking.

The KCCowork space opened with a bang with a Happy Hour on Wednesday.  With appearances by the Five Elms Capital, Legal Sonar, Think Big Partners, bizperc tenants and other KC entrepreneurs, the Happy Hour proved that Prairie Village was in need of a coworking space.

The evening was laid-back with an interactive famous entrepreneur guessing game, delicious sangria, tours of the coworking space and beer pong.  That's right, beer pong.

KCCowork Happy Hour to Launch New Prairie Village Coworking Space

Think Big Partners Hosts Happy Hour in the Kansas City Crossroads

Last night's Happy Hour with Think Big Partners and Joe Athon brought together a mish-mash of Kansas City entrepreneurs, small business owners and startup companies looking to network, enjoy a few drinks and let loose after a jam-packed workday.  The event took place from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the jazzy and intimate 1911 Main, a new restaurant located in the Crossroads District of Kansas City--just a hop, skip and a jump away from the bizperc coworking space.

As local entrepreneurs sipped on $5 martinis and enjoyed half-priced appetizers, Think Big Partners announced the rollout of the Gigabit Challenge as well as the company's upcoming Entrepreneur Bootcamp which is to launch this coming Tuesday, October 11th at bizperc.  The Bootcamp is a 6-week program aimed at whipping Kansas City entrepreneurs into startup shape.

Interested in meeting the Think Big team but didn't make it to the Happy Hour?  The next TBP team event will take place this Friday at Entrepreneur Corner during First Fridays.  Join the Think Biggers as well as 8 other Kansas City startup companies for free beer, networking and a perfect start to the weekend at 1800 Baltimore from 6:00-9:00 PM.  In addition, the Think Big team will be hosting a bizperc open house on October 20th.  More information about the Open House will be released in the coming weeks.
